The accused first raped the minor in July but she kept quiet since he had threatened her with dire consequences.
New Delhi: A 20-year-old man was arrested on Monday for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in the fields in east Delhi's Yamuna Khadar, police said.
Two of his accomplices were also arrested and a juvenile apprehended for making a video of the act and threatening the girl.
Dheeraj first raped the minor in July but she kept quiet since he had threatened her with dire consequences. Later, he started stalking her and proposed to marry her, said a senior police officer.
The girl refused to marry him. Enraged at her refusal, he forcibly took her to the fields on September 2 and raped her.
He also called his friends, Dheeraj and Ajay, for keeping a watch, while he sexually assaulted the girl, said the officer.
Dheeraj's juvenile friend filmed the entire act on a cell phone. The main accused then threatened to circulate the video on the Internet, he said.
The girl was scared after the incident and kept quiet. However, unable to bear with Dheeraj's threats, she narrated her ordeal to her family members who informed the police about it yesterday.
The accused were nabbed from the area on Monday. Police have also seized the cell phone used for making the video.
The girl's father is a farmer. She is undergoing counselling, police said.
