Congress chalks out strategy to corner AAP & BJP

The party has unanimously decided to hold protests in 280 blocks across the city on March 4.

New Delhi: The warring factions of the local unit of Congress came together on Monday to chalk out a strategy to lodge their protest against the BJP-led government at the Centre and the AAP government in the state over their total failure to address some pressing issues concerning the national capital. The key issues against which the party will lodge its protest are the ongoing sealing drive, growing unemployment, steep price hike, and failure in the public distribution system (PDS).

The party has unanimously decided to hold protests in 280 blocks across the city on March 4. The party leaders will again deliberate upon these issues at its general body meeting on Wednesday.

Among the leaders, who participated in the deliberations, were the AICC secretary in-charge of Delhi, P.C. Chacko; Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken and former chief minister Sheila Dikshit.

The party has been making serious efforts to rope in the leaders of all the factions to put up a united front to take on both BJP and AAP over their repeated failures to deal with pressing issues concerning the city. The party is also bringing all the warring factions together to take on the AAP.
