Delhi: Man commits suicide at metro station
Services on the Yellow Line were affected due to the incident for several minutes.
New Delhi: A 50-year-old man on Monday allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train at Azadpur metro station in Delhi.
The incident took place around 7:35 am. Ishwari P, a resident of the city's Model Town area, allegedly jumped in front of a Huda City Centre-bound metro train, officials said.
He was killed on the spot. It was not yet known what led him to take the extreme step, they said.
Services on the Yellow Line were affected due to the incident for several minutes, they said.
The CISF and Delhi Metro authorities later sent the body to a nearby hospital. Police are probing the case.
