AAP, BJP hand-in-glove, indulging in gimmicks'

Delhi Congress to distribute pamphlets in 10 lakh houses.

New Delhi: Delhi Congress has decided to distribute pamphlets named “Kejriwal evam BJP ka sach, janana aap ha haq” in which it has been elaborated in detail as to how both parties failed in delivering on their promises.

Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken on Wednesday said that these pamphlets will be distributed at least in 100 houses in every polling booth with a target to cover as many as 13 lakh households all over the capital and discuss the failures of both the BJP and the AAP parties with the people.

According to Mr Maken, the pamphlet has been divided into many parts, including how Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promises turned out to be hollow (jumlas), failures of Arvind Kejriwal, achievements of the Congress government in Delhi during its 15-year rule and how the BJP and the AAP governments have indulged in publicity stunts through advertisements to squander tax payers’ hard-earned money to hide their failures.

“The last segment of the pamphlet contains details around 11 points as to how Modi and Kejriwal are hand-in-glove with each other when it comes to serving their own interests,” said the city Congress chief.

Mr Maken claimed that from the beginning the Congress party has been saying that the script of the “dharna-drama” was written on February 20 when the Delhi chief secretary was called to the residence of the chief minister at midnight and was beaten up by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators, very well knowing what would be the consequences and reaction.

“A three-day unscheduled session of the Delhi Assembly was convened to discuss the powers of the Delhi government and the “dharna-drama” was carried out in connivance with the lieutenant-governor (L-G) as the said dharna-drama suited both the ruling government and the BJP at the Centre,” the Delhi Congress president alleged.
