Man gives fake documents for hospital job, Delhi police file FIR

The official had submitted his document in the year 1986 at the time of joining as caretaker.

New Delhi: The Delhi police has filed an FIR against chief sanitary superintendent of Safdarjung Hospital, who allegedly submitted fake Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) to get the government job. The official had submitted his document in the year 1986 at the time of joining as caretaker. It was found to be fake after a verification of the document was conducted by the competent authority last year.

“It has been brought to the notice of the competent authority that Surender Kumar, chief sanitary superintendent, has submitted fake Higher Secondary School Certificate to get government job in Safdarjung Hospital at the time of joining on July 25, 1986. The said document seem to be fake as it does not tally with the marksheet verified by the Madhyamik Shiksha Mandal, Bhopal,” said an official.

“Someone has lodged a complaint with the hospital authority that Surender had submitted fake certificate to get a job. The hospital authority then sent the Higher Secondary School Certificate exam marksheet to verify the genuineness of the documents submitted by him. They submitted report for verification on December 18, 2015, and on June 25, 2016, it was found that the said document submitted by Surender was fake as it does not tally with the marksheet verified by Madhyamik Shiksha Mandal, Bhopal,” said Anil K. Rai, medical superintendent of Safdarjung Hospital.

“Soon after receiving this information, an internal inquiry was conducted by the competent authority. Later, the authority asked me to file the complaint against Surender,” he said.

The police has filed a complaint under Section 420/468/471 of the IPC against Surender and an investigation in the matter is ongoing. However, no action has been taken against him as of now. “We will take the action as per the law once the police will confirm that he has done wrongful act. Till then, we won’t be able to take any action against him,” said Dr Rai.

“I am not sure whether the document verification was done at the time of his joining or not. This is a matter of investigation,” he added.
