Four robbers held, arms recovered

New Delhi: The Delhi police arrested four robbers, apprehend two juveniles and busted a gang of highway robbers. The police claimed to have solved several cases of sensational robbery and burgalary. Four country made pistols alongwith with thirty live cartridges have been recovered from their possession.

During patrolling duty,  SI Dinesh Beniwal received information regarding highway robbers, who carried a large number of illegal arms and ammunition. The above information was verified and conveyed to senior officers. On the direction of senior officers, a team of police officers was constituted and a trap was laid near Ring Road bus stand to apprehend the robbers.

A dedicated police team was constituted.  As per the information a trap was laid near RR bus stand Ring Road. After some time as per the secret information four persons came near RR bus stand Ring Road and sat on the road side boundary wall in suspicious condition, without wasting time the police party tried to apprehend them but all the accused persons tried to fled from the spot. With the sincere efforts of police party all the accused persons were apprehended after a hot chase. During search of the accused persons later identified as Sakil alias Serni (30), Pankaj(22) Vikesh (21) and

Akshay (23). Three country made loaded pistols along with 14 live cartridges have been recovered from their possession.

During sustain interrogation the accused persons disclosed that on Monday  they were going to Vasant Kunj for committing robbery/burglary. During further interrogation they also disclosed that their two friends also suppose to come at Delhi Cantt. metro station and they also carrying illegal arms and ammunition. On the receipt of this information another team was directed to laid a tarp near Metro Station Delhi Cantt who apprehended two juveniles and one country made pistols along with live cartridges was recovered from them.  

They also disclosed their involvement in an attempt to murder case reported at Mahindra Park police station. On the instance of accused persons another 15 live cartridges were recovered from their residence.
