Delhi: Three held for killing youth over open urination tiff

New Delhi: In a swift action, the Delhi police cracked the murder case of 21-year-old Sandeep, who was brutally bludgeoned to death over raising objection on public urination in Harsh Vihar. His body was found abandoned on a footpath near Daya Nursing Home on Friday morning. Three persons have been arrested in this connection.

The three accused have been identified as Raza (24), Sebu (21), and Mukeem (22). Police said that during the intervening night of October 19 and 20, a PCR call was received at Harsh Vihar that a person has been murdered near Daya Nursing Home in Mandoli. The deceased was identified as Sandeep, a resident of Budh Vihar in Mandoli, Delhi.

On October 18, Sandeep had gone to visit his cousin’s house, following which he went to a park. While he was sitting in the park, a juvenile came near his bench and started to urinate. Sandeep objected and directed the young boy to urinate som-ewhere else. A verbal alte-rcation ensued between them, following which locals came and pacified the matter.

The murder came to light when locals informed the police, who rushed to the spot and carried out a probe.

The police said that Sandeep was beaten with a heavy brick wrapped in cloth.

Initially, there was no clue about the criminals involved in this case. Local inquiries were made by the police team to extract any clue about the murderers. During the course of investigation it was found that deceased Sandeep had quarrelled with the accused.

Search for the accused was made but all were found absconding. Based on a tip-off, the accused persons were arrested.
