New Delhi: After a spate of losses in various state Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party kick started the preparations for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

As part of this preparation, several rounds of meetings were held at the party’s headquarters in the national capital.

On Thursday, the meeting of the office bearers of the parliamentary constituencies was initiated, which the party said will continue for the next seven days.

The first meeting was of the Northeast parliamentary constituency, in which various legislators including Sanjeev Jha, Rituraj, Haji Ishraq Khan, and Sunil Dutt Sharma participated.

As part of its organisational development process, the party has completed the process of hiring regional presidents at the booth levels of the parliamentary and Assembly constituencies.

In the next phase, under ‘my booth, the strongest,’ the party has decided to elect the block presidents.

The responsibility for this has been given to the district presidents and the communication in-charges of the various Assemblies.

The national capital is divided into a total of 1,32,950 blocks, out of which 20,230 blocks fall under the Northeast district.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will hold the district workers’ conference from January.

As part of the initiative, worker conferences will be organised in the Karawal Nagar and Mustafabad Assembly segments of the Northeast parliamentary constituency on January 9 and 25, respectively.

The meetings of the various parliamentary constituencies will go on for the next seven days with Chandni Chowk on December 22; New Delhi on December 23; East Delhi on December 24; West Delhi on December 25; Northwest Delhi on December 26; and South Delhi on December 27, in which the office bearers of the respective parliamentary constituencies will participate.
