Ramesh Bidhuri presents report card, hits out at AAP govt

Rai did not turn up and a vacant seat was reserved for him on the dais.

New Delhi: While presenting his own report card on Monday, BJP’s South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri claimed that he has fulfilled all promises but unlike him the AAP government has failed to do so in the national capital.

He also sent a legal notice to senior AAP leader and Delhi Cabinet minister Gopal Rai for demeaning his public image by levelling false allegations against him on Friday during a press conference. On Sunday, Mr Bidhuri challenged Mr Rai for a public debate at the Constitutional Club on the issue of his report card released by AAP on Friday in which the latter accused him of not fulfilling his promises. Mr Rai did not turn up and a vacant seat was reserved for him on the dais.

“Kejriwal and his party men are themselves under performers, who befooled Delhiites and are now blaming others for their incompetence. They (AAP) should first look at themselves before commenting on me and my party,” said the MP, who is all set to file his nomination on Tuesday.

“Bestowed with the responsibility of development of South Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, I have undertaken several developmental works in my area such as establishment of 400/220 KV power grid at Tughlakabad to avoid the then prevailing electricity shortage of 3-4 hours in my constituency. The establishment of a shooting range with the approximate cost of '3,100 cr. Commencement of the construction of country’s first rugby ground at Maidan Garhi on 3.25 acre land allotted by DDA. Got 48 bighas of land in Bhatti Kalan allotted to the University of Delhi from the lieutenant-governor for construction of college,” said Mr Bidhuri. “The establishment of the 400-bed at AIIMS, which was pending for last several years.
