New Delhi: As many as 25 digital screens are being put up in different parts of the city to provide information about the results of the seven Lok Sabha seats in the national capital. While 21 screens are being put up in the NDMC area, two will be placed at the headquarters of the chief electoral office (CEO). One screen each will be placed at the Civic Centre and reception of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation.

The CEO has arranged Delhi specific digital screens for faster dissemination of results on wide scale of the Lok Sabha elections, also a scroll will run at the bottom of the screen which will display the results at the national level.

The CEO has invited the Delhi citizens to be part of the live results of general elections in the national capital through live screenings and could be accessed through ECI’s website and Voter Helpline mobile application.

The voter turnout was less despite the election commission has spent more than Rs 13.5 crore in the past few months to encourage voters to come out in large numbers.

Out of 1.43 crore voters in Delhi, only 60.52 per cent exercised their franchise to elect their seven Lok Sabha MPs. The voter turnout this year was about five per cent less than 2014 Lok Sabha elections when 66.09 per cent had turned out to exercise their franchise.
