RPF, UP police cops abduct man for ransom, kill him
New Delhi: A 28-year-old LIC agent was abducted and later killed by two constables of RPF and UP Police on Friday. The incident took place in Sarai Rohilla railway quarter. One of the accused has been arrested, Nupur Prasad DCP (North) said.
The deceased, identified as Prem Kumar (28), who worked as an LIC agent. He was called by the accused on the pretext of getting Rs 1 crore policy.
The accused, identifed as constables Ajay Kumar of RPF and Sarvesh of UP Police attached at Banna Devi police station in Aligarh. Ajay has since been arrested.
On Friday, Sarai Rohilla police station received a telephone call that the deceased was missing. Upon inquiry, it was found that he went to Ajay’s house.
During interrogation, Ajay told the police he and constable Sarvesh wanted to aduct Prem for ransom, but involuntarily killed him. They disposed the body in Itawa, UP.
