Rohit Bal arrested for thrashing neighbour
New Delhi: Fashion designer Rohit Bal, along with three of his employees, was arrested for creating ruckus and “threatening his neighbour under the influence of alcohol” over car parking in south Delhi’s Defence Colony.
The incident took place at around 1 am on Thursday when Bal, who was allegedly in an inebriated state, picked up an argument which led to a fight and the neighbour was beaten. The fight allegedly erupted over a parking issue.
The police received a complaint from one Iqbal Singh, who alleged that Bal, along with Lalit Kumar, Ramesh and Pramod, forcefully entered his house, said Ishwar Singh, the deputy commissioner of police (South). The complainant also claimed that the four men, under the influence of alcohol, threatened him and created a ruckus.
Subsequently, a case was registered against the four men, who were arrested and released on bail. Bal also runs a showroom in Defence Colony.
According to the Delhi police, Bal was found to be under the influence of alcohol when the incident took place. Along with him, the police also arrested Bal’s friend, his driver, and his cook.
