New Delhi: A day after an assistant manager of the DTTDC (Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation) liquor outlet was found murdered in South Delhi’s Mehrauli area, the investigators are still clueless about the motive behind the brutal murder.

In a five-minute-long CCTV footage, it was seen that four people were waiting inside a Santro for the victim to arrive near his house. The victim was attacked with a knife and shot inside his car, a WagonR.

The police has maintained that they have some specific leads about the registration number of the car involved in the murder.

“We have some specific leads in the case. So far, we have not established the identity of the killers and have formed several teams who are raiding locations across Delhi. We will soon apprehend them,” said additional commissioner of police (South), Chinmoy Biswal.

Initially, the police had suspected that the deceased, Brij Bhushan Prasad (43), had died of a knife injury after he was found bleeding from his right abdomen near Budh Bazar area. However, the autopsy report revealed that he was also shot in his abdomen.

A resident of Rajpur Khurd Extension, Prasad had reached his house in Mehrauli when three or four people stopped his car. As he stepped out, all of them attacked him.
