AAP must clarify its stand on issue: BJP

Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari asked whether there had been any deal with Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

New Delhi: Attacking the AAP government on Saturday, Delhi BJP said that Friday’s Assembly session will be remembered for melodramatic politics in the history of the national capital. It demanded that AAP clarify its stand on the resolution passed demanding the withdrawal of the Bharat Ratna of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari asked whether there had been any deal with Congress president Rahul Gandhi. He asked if AAP is claiming that the resolution has not been passed, then will chief minister Arvind Kejriwal resign on moral grounds or will continue as an immoral ruler.

The Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta, has accused that Mr Kejriwal has joined hands with Congress. He said that after being rebuked by Congress high command, the AAP chief wants to go back on the resolution passed in the Assembly seeking withdrawal of Bharat Ratna award to Rajiv Gandhi which is now the property of the House.
