The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators had accused the BJP legislator of using “unparliamentary and undignified” language in the House.

The BJP MLA allegedly made the remarks, while objecting to the presence of transport minister Kailash Gahlot in the House. This was the second time Mr Sharma was suspended from the House proceedings.

New Delhi: The Delhi Assembly on Friday revoked the suspension of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator O.P. Sharma after a proposal in this regard was moved by AAP legislator Jitender Singh Tomar, which was passed by voice vote.

Mr Sharma was suspended by the Assembly Speaker earlier this week for allegedly making derogatory remarks in the House.

Referring to the Delhi high court order setting aside disqualification of 20 AAP MLAs in an office-of-profit case, Mr Tomar said that as it was a special day, Mr Sharma’s suspension too should be revoked.
