BJP meet plans push for cultural nationalism
New Delhi: For the first time, the BJP will push for cultural nationalism during its two-day national executive meeting in Delhi, starting on Sunday. Artists from different parts of the country, including BJP-ruled states, will perform with the message of nationalism and the ideology of Deen Dayal Upadhyay. Bhojpuri superstar-turned-politician Manoj Tiwari will anchor the cultural evening.
According to party sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah will be present at the event.
“The multi lingual musical compositions show will be based on Pundit Deen Dayal Upadhyay’s ideals is scheduled for coming Monday as a culmination function of his birth centenary after the BJP national executive council meeting,” said head media relation Delhi BJP, Neelkant Bakshi.
The DRI has planned the musical exposition of “Geo-Cultural Nationalism”, “Bharat Geetmala” on Pundit Deen Dayal Upadhyay philosophy through songs from different parts of the country in different languages. “This was one of the principal dimensions of the integral humanism as propagated by Pundit Deen Dayal Upadhyay. While defining the concept of the national, he underlined that ‘nationalism’ emanates basically from “geo-cultural nationalism”. He delved deep into the subject through his writings and discourse and today this debate has reached new dimensions,” said a party leader. Performances in Sindhi, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Kannada, Gujarati, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Hindi, Chhat-tisgarhi, Malayalam and Telgu will take place at the function. ”The song show organised by DRI the official cultural partner of the government of India in several Indian Languages being held on Monday.
