Delhi University to begin admission process from May 27

There are indications that the first cut-off list may be announced in the second week of June.

New Delhi: Admissions at Delhi University for undergraduate programmes for the current academic year have once again been deferred. The registration process was initially supposed to start on April 29, which was delayed multiple times and is now expected to begin on or before May 27. There are indications that the first cut-off list may be announced in the second week of June.

The standing committee is still deciding a date to release the registration forms. “It can be on May 24, 25, or 27,” said Rajeev Gupta, the in-charge of the standing committee for admissions in Delhi University.

The committee is yet to ascertain a date for starting the process.

However, students are suggested to keep a tab on the Delhi University official website for notifications on the release of registration forms.

The admission was earlier delayed from May 15 to May 24 owing to the announcement of the Lok Sabha election results on May 23. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had written to Delhi University to align its admission process according to the preponed result schedule of the Class 12 board examination.

The varsity is now scheduling its admission process in a way that all the revaluation work can be completed before the last date of admission process.
