PM Modi likely to address four rallies in Delhi
New Delhi: If things go the Delhi BJP way, then Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to address four rallies in the national capital ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. The state unit has already urged the Prime Minister to spare time to address these four rallies.
The Delhi BJP believes that four rallies of Mr Modi will boost its campaign to repeat the 2014 performance in which it swept all the seven Lok Sabha seats. The Delhi BJP has sent a request to the national leadership demanding four rallies.
The state leadership has already identified the venue for the Prime Minister’s rallies. Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said that five locations have been shortlisted as venues for the rallies for which permission has been sought from the central leadership. “We have requested for four public rallies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. I believe, we will get nod for at least two of them,” Mr Tiwari added.
The possible venues which have been shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s rallies are Sant Nirankari ground in Burari, Shastri Park, Dwarka and Mehrauli. The list of candidates for the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi, currently held by the party, is expected to be released in the first week of April.
Several senior leaders, union minister and other star campaigner including celebrities will also address rallies in all the seven parliamentary constituencies.
