A senior police official told that three more doctors of the hospital are under scanner and they will also be called for questioning.

New Delhi: The Delhi police questioned doctors of a private hospital over their alleged role in a kidney transplant racket on Saturday.

A senior police official told that three more doctors of the hospital are under scanner and they will also be called for questioning. “We have not given clean chit
to any person in the case. The role of doctors and staff of the hospital is under scanner,” said a senior police official.

Four persons — Jayant Sahoo (32), Sulekha Panda (27), Anoj Patra (33) and Birju Paswan (45) — were arrested on Friday in an alleged kidney racket. “Patra
used to take care of the donors and Paswan was involved in preparing fake documents of the donors,” he said. The gang was busted after one Jaideep Sharma, a 23-year-old MBA student from Pune’s Symbiosis College, with the help of Delhi police and a TV news channel.
