Sealing: AAP to stage march today
NEW DELHI: All Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MPs, legislators, and councillors will take out a march on Monday morning in order to protest against the sealing drive by BJP-ruled MCDs in the city and build pressure on the central government to bring a bill in this connection.
Speaking on the issue at a press conference, AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj on Sunday evening said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was creating confusion from the past some days to fool the traders.
“Sealing is taking place because of two reasons, either due to non payment of conversion taxes or where construction has not been done according to the master plan,” he said.
He added that any step like bringing changes under the Master Plan, 2021 or pardon the conversion charges can be taken by either the municipal corporations or the Delhi Development Authority.
“Tomorrow all AAP MPs, MLAs, and councillors, will put pressure on the Centre to give relief to traders in the form of an ordinance. Many MLAs have sought time from the LG to discuss the issue. He is the one who can ask the DDA to bring changes under the masterplan. We will meet him tomorrow,” he added.
