Five robbers arrested, weapons recovered
New Delhi: Five robbers were arrested for committing robberies at gunpoint from Wazirabad area on Friday. Two desi katta with four live cartridges recovered and two knives recovered.
Police said that the arrested Pawan, Mohit Sharma, Amit alias Kalu, Rahul and Rahul alias Ompuri by the staff of North East District (Police Station Khajuri Khas).
Accoridng to the police, on April 26, complainant made a PCR call wherein he alleged that while he was coming from Mukund Vihar, Karawal Nagar by auto and when auto reached near Kanhaiya Public School, three persons came near him on a motorcycle and robbed his bag which contained cash Rs 82,000 by showing a firearm and ran away.
During investigation, informers were deputed, dossiers of criminals of were analysed and a sharp vigil was mounted on the activities of the criminals. Raids were conducted at all possible hideouts.
The hard work of the team bore result as on the basis of secret information, when on April 27, at about 7.30 pm, at pusta road in front of PTS Wazirabad the staff intercepted two motorcycles and apprehended the accused.
