Dhinchak' Pooja rides into trouble over scooter video
New Delhi: “Dhinchak” Pooja’s red scooter in her latest YouTube video may have caught many an eyeball, but Delhi’s traffic police isn’t amused and has decided to take action for her helmet-less ride.
In the video of her latest song titled “Dilon Ka Shooter Hai Mera Scooter”, Pooja can be seen riding the two-wheeler on Delhi’s roads without a helmet.
“We will look into the matter, if there is any violation of traffic rules to fine the driver as per the traffic rule. We will also send notice to the registered owner of the scooter to seek details on how the owner allowed the lady to driver the scooter without a helmet,” said S.B.S. Tyagi, additional commissioner of police (traffic)
While the video became viral online, attracting some hilarious reactions and making some cringe at the same time, a twitter user on Tuesday brought to the notice of Delhi traffic police that Pooja is riding the scooter in the video without a helmet.
Mohit Singh tweeted to the official handles Delhi police and Delhi traffic police and complained that the youtuber has flouted traffic rules while riding the scooter in Surajmal Vihar area of the city.
He also supported his claims by posting a picture from the video purportedly showing her riding the scooter without helmet. Mohit also mentioned the place, time and date when of “offence”.
The Delhi traffic police replied to his tweet saying, “action will be taken”.
