BJP to send review report to party chief

The Delhi BJP is likely to call a review meeting in the next couple of days.

New Delhi: After humiliating defeat in bypolls, the BJP has decided to send a review report to president Amit Shah seeking aaction against all those who had worked against the party in the run-up to elections. Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said that explanation will be sought from those who had been given responsibility for the bypolls. Sources in the party hinted that major churning in the organisation was on cards and that non-performers will soon be shown the door.

The Delhi BJP is likely to call a review meeting in the next couple of days.

“We accept the mandate given by the voters of Bawana and wish to review the reasons which led to our defeat. We will ask party leaders, who were involved in poll management in Bawana, to give detailed explanation and the reason of defeat,” said Mr Tiwari.

Taking the defeat seriously, which caused severe damages to the party’s image after its historic victory in the April civic polls, party state leadership is set to discuss it with Mr Shah and present a detailed report on the role of each state leader assigned any duty in Bawana.

“All the mismanagement by senior leaders will be brought to the notice of national president (Mr Shah),” said a party insider.
