Delhi: Woman found dead with multiple injuries near Rajghat
New Delhi: The body of a woman with her throats lit and multiple stab wounds was found from the bushes behind Rajghat in central Delhi this afternoon, police said.
The woman, aged around 25 years, has not been identified yet. It is suspected that she was killed somewhere else and her body was dumped in the bushes near a CNG pump located behind Rajghat, they said.
The body has been preserved at the mortuary of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital.
The body was noticed by a passerby who alerted the police. It is suspected that she was stabbed close to a dozen times and her throat was slit, police said.
Police said that the person who killed her seemed to be well-aware of the topography of the area and dumped the body in the bushes so that it isn't found.
