Air Force officer's wife harassed inside Cantt
New Delhi: Living inside a secured Air Force area, a housewife had little clue that the simple act of collecting daily supply of milk for her household could prove to be a major ordeal for her as the milkman had other ideas.
During the 30 horrific minutes when the woman managed to lock herself inside her house in the Cantonement area, the milkman harassed her, flashed at her and also tried to force his way into her house. The victim is the wife of a IAF officer.
The accused was later arrested. It is alleged that he used one pretext after the other to try and get entry into the house when the woman was alone, leaving her in a state of panic and fear. The alleged incident took place on July 18, four days after the family had hired the services of one Pankaj, the milkman. When he visited the house, the husband of the victim was not present.
In her complaint, the woman purportedly told the police that the accused reached her house around 8.30 am and when she opened the gate, he stared at her for a long time.
“As he handed over the milk packet, he tried to hold my hand — a bid I managed to thwart by pulling away from him. It was the first time that I felt panicked. Soon after, he took out a packet of curd and held my hand and tried to enter the house,” the woman said in her complaint.
The woman then kicked his leg which was stuck between the main gate and the doorframe. Soon after, the woman locked the gate from inside as the man started requesting access inside the house. It is alleged that he was holding his private part and flashing it at the victim. Based on her statement, an FIR of molestation was registered.
