Political comeback set for NCP's 20th anniversary on June 10

Bhujbal will address the huge gathering after being absent from the political scene for nearly two years.

Nagpur: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former state deputy chief minister, Mr Chagan Bhujbal who is being released from jail after his bail plea was granted, will stage a political comeback on June 10 when the NCP will celebrate its 20th anniversary. It will also conclude with the final assault of the ‘Halla bol’ programme in Pune. Mr Bhujbal will address the huge gathering after being absent from the political scene for nearly two years.

More than a lakh of people from across the state are expected to participate in the anniversary and Halla Bol programme, which will also mark the beginning of the preparations for the Lok Sabha and the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha elections.

Senior NCP leader and MP, Mr Praful Patel told mediapersons in an informal chat on Wednesday that the NCP and Congress leaders are finalising the candidate for the Gondia Lok Sabha bypoll to be held on May 28, on Wednesday evening.
