Opposition calls BJP-Sena govt a complete failure
Nagpur: Launching a scathing attack on BJP-Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra, the combined opposition, the Congress and the NCP, on Sunday described the saffron government as a total failure on all the fronts — from the loan waiver to the farmers, adequate prices to the agro products and law and order situation.
Not satisfied with the good governance and failure in handling major issues, the opposition today decided to boycott the customary tea hosted by the Chief Minister at his residence on the eve of the commencement of winter session of state legislature, on Monday. Leading the front, opposition leader in State Legislative Assembly, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil dared the government to come out with a list of beneficiaries of the loan waiver scheme in the state.,
Patil said it was first announced in June and since then the government has miserably failed to provide any relief to the farmers. He said the government should put the data of farmers and amount of loan waived on twitter handle, if it is honest.He added that the government had to shift its Principal Secretary IT and later send him on compulsory leave when they are facing embarrassment.
Opposition questioned the government style of working as the law and order situation was going from bad to worse. Quoting the NCRB figures, Patil said Nagpur which is home town of Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis was among the top five cities where crime rate is the highest. Opposition leader in State Legislative Council, Dhananjay Munde said that the contract for THE online loan waiver scheme was given to a particular company which was not competent to handle it.
Former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar also present said the Combined Opposition in addition to the Hall bol protest will be one of the biggest and former Union Minister and NCP president Sharad Pawar and Opposition Leader in Rajya Sabha Gulam Nabi Azad (Congress) along with top leaders from alliance will lead and address on December 12.
