Dead body of woman with burnt face found on highway

Jaipur: An unidentified middle-aged woman with her face burnt was found on the Delhi-Jaipur highway on Monday.

Police said a case has been registered at Amer police station and the body has been sent for post-mortem.

Prima facie, the woman, who looked to be in her forties, was murdered at a different location and dumped on the outskirts of the city, a police officer said.

Going by her outfit, the woman seemed to be from rural area, police said.

The body seemed to have been dumped on the highway with the face disfigured to conceal her identity, investigating officer Mukesh Kumar said.

Forensic experts have reached the spot to collect evidence for further investigation, Kumar said.
