Heroin addict stabbed' over monetary dispute
Nashik: A heroin addict was allegedly murdered by another addict in the Old Taxi Stand area of Bhadrakali in Nashik City on Monday morning as the victim owed money to the accused. Police sources said that the heroin addict was stabbed by a fellow addict over a money lending issue. The deceased Sampat alias Sarya Kashinath Kadale had a fight with another addict Ganesh alias Vinya Rajaram Jadhav on Monday morning around 9 am. During their fight, Jadhav allegedly stabbed Kadale in his abdomen with a broken glass piece. Police and bystanders rushed Kadale to the hospital, where he was announced dead on arrival. Jadhav was arrested and further investigations are on.
In another incident, Satpur MIDC police said that a handcart owner was beaten and murdered by a gang of goondas in Swarbaba Nagar area of Jagtapwadi of Satpur village after midnight on Sunday. Police said that, Dhanraj alias Kunal Raju Pardeshi (32) used to sell egg rolls in Satpur MIDC area. On Sunday midnight, he was called out to Dr Ambed-kar chowk by accused Bhushan Kadam, Naran-dra Thakur, Ajinkya Gaikwad and others. There he was attacked with sharp instruments. The assailants slashed him and fled. Police including DCP Laxmikant Patil arrived on the spot and conducted further investigations.
