In reshuffle, 15 IPS officers transferred

Kolkata: The Mamata Banerjee government on Saturday made a reshuffle in the rank of IPS officers by promoting or transferring as many as 15 officers.

Joint commissioner special task force (STF) Vishal Garg was posted as additional commissioner V of Kolkata Police. Mr Garg will continue to hold charge of joint commissioner (crime).

Nishat Pervez who was posted as deputy commissioner (headquarters) in Bidhannagar Commissionerate was made DIG, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) operations, while Humayun Kabir who was DC, headquarter in Barrackpore police commissionerate was posted as joint commissioner administration in KP

Two officers of IG rank was promoted as additional director general of police (ADGP) with changes in their posting. Siddh Nath Gupta was appointed as ADG & IG (Establishment) from his position of IG organisation while Sanjoy Singh was promoted as ADG & IG Enforcement Branch. Mr. Singh will hold the additional charge of IG, CID I.

Satyajit Banerjee who held the position of joint commissioner (armed police) KP  was posted as additional commissioner VI of Kolkata Police. However, he will continue to hold charge as joint commissioner (AP).

Kalyan Bandopadhyay who was DIG (AP) in Durgapur was posted as IG Coastal security of Bengal Police,  Anil Kumar member secretary of West Bengal Police Recruitment  Board was made IG, organisation.
