Rahul Sinha dares Mamata Banerjee to jail one lakh BJP leaders
Berhampore: Senior BJP leader Rahul Sinha on Friday dared chief minister Mamata Banerjee to send 1 lakh BJP workers to jail, after she threatened to do it on Thursday. He added that she would have to increase the number of jails before she made the arrests.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP district headquarter at Berhampore in Murshidabad, Mr Sinha said, “She can arrest lakhs of BJP workers. But she should increase number of jails in the state first because most of the jails in West Bengal will soon be filled by corrupt Trinamul Congress ministers, MPs and leaders.”
Ms Banerjee had made a public warning at a public meeting in Malda on Thursday saying 1 lakh BJP leaders would be sent to jail if one TMC leader were touched.
The former state BJP president said that the Trinamul supremo had lost her temper and crossed the limit, and that she had no right to make such comments at a government programme.
“The Trinamul is the party of thieves, extortionists, and anti - socials. The Trinamul leaders were seen taking bribes. But the chief minister cannot prove any BJP leader or worker involved in any corrupt practice like bribery. Actually she is very much panicked.”
