BJP man Mukul says those who want change should join party

Mr Roy however indicated that he would speak more at the BJP rally on November 10 for the party supporters against the Trinamul Congress government.

Kolkata: Hailing the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah, Mukul Roy predicted on Monday that the BJP will be the only alternative which will come to power in West Bengal next.

Burying speculation of a conflict, he described state BJP president Dilip Ghosh as his captain under whom he would work to take forward the party. Mr Roy also called others to join the BJP for the development in West Bengal.

Mr Roy’s statement came at a press meet at state BJP headquarters at Muralidhar Sen Lane following his arrival from New Delhi at the Kolkata Airport where he was given an warm welcome by the BJP supporters who showered petals on him.

The enthusiasm surprised Mr Roy also. “The grand welcome I received on my way from the Kolkata Airport to the BJP party office have filled me with joy. The BJP is progressing under Mr Modi and Amit Shah. At the national level my captain is Mr Shah,” he said.

Hugging the state BJP president Mr Roy added, “In Bengal my captain is Mr Ghosh. I will work in Bengal under his leadership. For the last two years the way the BJP has been performing in Bengal under his leadership, it is going to accomplish its mission.”

He elaborated, “We will reach the mission. The change in Bengal is evident. The people of West Bengal are in search of an alternative. The BJP is that alternative which will rule the state and restore democracy.”

Mr Roy however indicated that he would speak more at the BJP rally on November 10 for the party supporters against the Trinamul Congress government. According to him, the BJP has its chief ministers in 13 states and deputy chief ministers in six states.

“In Himachal Pradesh it will have a landslide victory. In Gujarat it will win majority of the votes. The BJP will come to power in Bengal and Odisha next. The change I wanted here has not come in Bengal. So I call upon all those want change to join the BJP,” he said.

“I joined the BJP after preparing myself mentally. The BJP has a suitable senapati in the state. That is why I joined the party to fight. The Pandavas and the Kauravas were brothers. But in the battle of Dharma, they fought the Kauravas,” he observed.
