Dilip Ghosh threatens action against desecrators

Ghosh also reminded the Left that they were existing because of the BJP.

Kolkata: State BJP president Dilip Ghosh on Wednesday threatened that those who would disrespect Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee won’t be spared.

Addressing the BJP’s law violation programme against deteriorating law-and-order situation in the state in front of Lalbazar, the city police headquarters, Mr Ghosh alleged, “In Bengal Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s bust was desecrated. It was the act by some students of the Jadavpur University. Once I made them run and they could not come out of the campus for six months.”

Sending warning to the arrested accused he claimed, “They should keep their revolution within Jadavpur only. We have kept that area for the anti-nationals. If you come outside, we will change your physical structure. Stay safe with the police for some days. If they come out, no one will be able to take their responsibility. If anyone tries to show disrespect to Syama Prasad, it will be his last attempt.”

Mr Ghosh also reminded the Left that they were existing because of the BJP.

The Kharagpur MLA said, “The CPI(M) are now threatening us. They are feeling very sad over the demolition of Lenin’s statue. Merely two statues were demolished. They have placed thousands of statues of Lenin and Marx at the cost of the people’s money. The statues of Marx, Lenin and Angels are still standing tall in the Maidan. In Dharmatola, Lenin is also there beside the lotus. He is safe still because the Lotus is there. If there is Lotus, Lenin will exist. Unless Lenin’s future will plunge into darkness.”

Another BJP leader Mukul Roy predicted that the Trinamul government would fall before the end of its second term in 2021. 30 BJP workers were arrested by the police for trying to storm Lalbazar during the agitation.
