Acting on a tip-off an STF team caught him at around 8.45 pm from near the ticket counter of the station. Hajibullah had been hiding in the district for a long time. Deputy commissioner of (STF) Murlidhar Sharma said that Hajibullah helped the Bangladeshi terror outfit to procure explosives used to carry out the blast.

He was brought to Kolkata and was produced at the Bankshall Court on Monday. The accused has been remanded in police custody till June 24. The National Investigation Agency which has been probing the case is likely to interrogate him.

Earlier Paygambar Sheikh and Jamirul Sheikh, two alleged members of the outfit also from Murshidabad, were caught with large quantities of explosives and gadgests by the police.
