TMC trying to win a battle with defeated soldiers: Ghosh

State BJP president Dilip Ghosh has called chief minister Mamata Banerjee's mega rally at the Brigade Parade Grounds on Saturday a circus.

Kolkata: State BJP president Dilip Ghosh has called chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s mega rally at the Brigade Parade Grounds on Saturday a “circus.” He alleged on Friday that Ms Banerjee was trying to win a battle with the soldiers who have been defeated already in their own turf.

On Karnataka chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy’s participation in the the Trinamul Congress supremo’s rally against the BJP, Mr Ghosh claimed: “If the rally was indeed important, Congress president Rahul Gandhi would have come. But he is not coming. He is sending the person in whose state fate of the Congress is uncertain. Whether the government will exists or not is doubtful.”

He wondered: “So he should return home to find the status of the government in Karnataka. Secondly what is the background of those leaders whose banners and cut-outs in large shapes and numbers have flooded the city? Some of them are tired while others are retired. Most of them are rejected in their own states. But they have been projected here.”
