It's a big jolt for TMC govt, says Dilip Ghosh
Kolkata: Jubiliant over the Calcutta high court’s verdict, state BJP state-president Dilip Ghosh declared that the party’s fierce court battle against the Trinamul was a success. He said, “The target with which we fought has been met with an absolute victory. The Trinamul Congress illegally tried to keep us at bay from the poll-battle. That is why they faced defeat. An empty pitcher makes the noise most. Trinamul MP and lawyer Kalyan Banerjee claimed of clinching the victory. But the people know who won and who lost.”
Mr Ghosh added, “All— the Trinamul, their government and the state poll panel— have received a jolt. Those who came to kill democracy and loot the people’s rights were slapped by the court.”
State Congress president Adhir Chowdhury who was present at the high court said, “The judge upheld our complaint that the Trinamul government plotted a conspiracy to prevent the common people from participating in the elections. He directed the state poll pannel to ensure that common people can cast their votes. We are indebted to him for his verdict.”
The Berhmapore MP added, “It is a moral defeat of the Trinamul.”
