Kolkata: Trinamul Congress MLA Sovan Chatterjee’s estranged wife Ratna Chatterjee and her father Dulal Das, also a Trinamul MLA, blamed him for what they claimed “fall from grace” for his romance. Both supported party supremo Mamata Banerjee.
Ms Chatterjee, also a Trinamul worker, alleged, “A man lost himself to infatuation totally after fighting over 30 years to build his political career. I still cannot understand how he could do it. I would not say this just because he was my husband but he really worked hard once to rise to be one of the trusted lieutenants of chief minister.
