Dilip Ghosh falls ill, hospitalised
Kolkata: State BJP president Dilip Ghosh fell ill on Monday morning in Kharagpur in West Midnapore. He was brought to Kolkata. The BJP MLA has been admitted to AMRI in Salt Lake. He was staying at Kharagpur which is also his assembly constituency for the past two days.
When preparations for Saraswati Puja was underway at his home, he felt numb in the legs.
The BJP workers brought him to the private hospital in the city. In a press statement, the AMRI senior general manager (medical services) Brig. Soumitra Chatterjee informed that Mr Ghosh was admitted with low back pain.
He said, “The primary diagnosis is prolapsed intervertebral disc. MRI and other test have been done. Presently, the management is conservative. Next decision will be taken tomorrow. Patient remains clinically stable and conscious, having normal diet and is communicating comfortably with the seniors and his party colleagues.”
