Conference to focus on Indo-China ties

The conference will start with a theme India-China Relations Resolving Contentious Issues at the Indian Council of Cultural Relations.

Kolkata: Centre for Eastern and North Eastern Regional Studies Kolkata, a think tank, is going to organise The Calcutta International Dialogue focusing on Indo-China relations on February 2 and 3 in the backdrop of Doklam and Tuting stand-off. The conference will start with a theme “India-China Relations — Resolving Contentious Issues” at the Indian Council of Cultural Relations. While governor Keshari Nath Tripathi will attend the inaugural ceremony, his predecessor and former National Security Advisor M.K. Narayanan will deliver the keynote address on “The Ebb and Flow in India-China Relations.”

Apart from the Indian defence and security experts including retired military officials, a Chinese professor, Guo Xetang who is the director of centre for South Asia and Indian Ocean Studies will also be present on the first day of the seminar.
