Kolkata: A former air hostess was arrested from the city in a joint operation by the Andhra Pradesh police and the criminal investigation department of the West Bengal Police on Tuesday night for her alleged role in a racket of smuggling red sandalwood of around Rs 100 crores. The accused, Sangita Chatterjee (27), is originally from Surya Toran Apartment near Jora petrol pump in Garia, said deputy inspector-general Nishat Parvez.
