If voted to power, BJP will publish NRC, says Dilip Ghosh
Kolkata: Hours after chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s salvo to the Modi government over the drop-out of around 40 lakh people’s names from the NRC list in Assam state BJP president Dilip Ghosh issued a caution to her. He asked her to look after West Bengal first. Referring to the Trinamul Congress supremo Mr Ghosh even threatened to throw out those who are opposing the NRC in the neighbouring state.
At the Assembly Mr Ghosh said, “She does not wish to stay in West Bengal because she has nothing to do as the people do not tolerate her. From US to China no one is calling her because they do not want to hear her. Let her decide what she will do first. My advice to her is: You do not need to visit either New Delhi or Assam, take care of Bengal first. Unless immersion will follow.”
On the NRC issue in Assam the Kharagpur MLA added, “Wait for a while. We will throw out those who are shouting against the National Register of Citizens and those who are supporting them. We will not tolerate any partiality. There will be no tolerance against anyone, irrespective of cast, creed and religion, who will act against the country’s interest. They will have to go to Bangladesh.”
BJP state president Dilip Ghosh mentioned, “We would not spare be it Congress, CPI(M) or the Trinamul. So those who are misleading the people by spreading lies should know that it is taking place on the order of the Supreme Court. This is not being done by Dilip Ghosh or Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Congress and the CPI(M) are shouting in the Assembly. Who cares them? After becoming rare species they are trying to survive by NRC. But the people would commit the mistake second time.”
