Mumbai: The Bombay high court (HC) while hearing a contempt petition in a suit between a Parsi couple said that as the mother and father were using their son as a weapon to get at each other, thus jeopardising the child’s future, the court would shelter the  child as its main concern was child’s well-being. HC also chided the father for not following procedure and coming to court without serving a notice to the mother.

A bench of Justice Gautam Patel while hearing the petition filed by the father sought to inform the court that his wife despite giving an oral undertaking to the court in a previous proceeding that she would not relocate their son, has removed the son from the Pune school and admitted him to another school, hence she was guilty of contempt of court orders.
