Maharashtra Janadesh Yatra from today

According to party sources, the yatra will play a big role in highlighting the achievements the state government.

Mumbai: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis will blow the bugle of BJP’s Assembly polls campaign with the launch of ‘Maha Janadesh Yatra’ on Thursday at Amravati. During the yatra, the chief minister will criss-cross 150 assembly constituencies in 32 districts by covering a distance of 4,384 kms.

After the remarkable success in the Lok Sabha polls, the BJP has set a target of winning 220 out of total 288 constituencies in the state along with its alliance partner Shiv Sena and other ally parties.

According to party sources, the ‘Maha Janadesh Yatra’ will play a big role in highlighting the achievements of BJP-led state government in last five years. Armed with slogans “Phir Ek Baar Shiv Shahi Sarkaar” and “Ab Ki Baar, 220 Ke Paar,” the CM will hold 87 major rallies and 57 small meetings during the yatra.

“The rally will have LED display on chariot, highlighting the achievements of the Fadnavis government. In addition to this, the events during the rally will be telecast live,” said a senior party leader.

The first phase of the yatra will be from August 1 to 9. It will cover areas in Mozari till Nandurbar in north Maharashtra. The second phase will be from August 17 to 31, covering areas between Aurangabad and Nashik.
