Cuffe Parade scrap dealer murdered, two arrested
Mumbai: A 25-year-old scrap-dealer was murdered on Sunday by a group of four men who attacked him with swords, choppers and rods at Ganesh Murti Nagar, Cuffe Parade. The victim, Jitendra Armogaam, had cases registered against him by the local police. His sister has registered a case with Cuffe Parade police station.
Police has identified three of the accused as Sadique, Jagannath and Nepali and detained two while refusing to disclose their names on grounds that investigation is still on to nab the other two. The deceased had come to Mumbai about two weeks ago, and got in touch with his group of friends who were also involved in petty crimes.
Police said that the group of four had pre-planned the attack and had common personal enmity with Armogaam.
At about 5.30pm on Sunday, Armogaam was allegedly attacked by the four accused with choppers, swords and rods near the creek at Ganesh Murti Nagar, Cuffe Parade. Armogaam succumbed to his injuries sustained during the attack while the four accused ran away.
