Contractors appointed for Metro 2B and Metro 4
Mumbai: The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) appointed contractors for Metro 2B (DN Nagar to Mandale) and Metro 4 (Wadala to Kasarvadavali) on Saturday. The contractors are appointed to construct the viaduct and stations of both the corridors.
The executive committee of the MMRDA headed by Sumit Mullick, chairman appointed consortium of M/s MBZ and M/s RCC for package 6 of the Metro 2-B corridor. Similarly, a consortium of M/s GGYHBCL, M/s Neeraj Cement Structural Limited and M/s MPKHS Pvt.Ltd. has been appointed to construct the viaduct and stations of package 7 of the Metro-2B corridor. Meanwhile, a consortium of Reliance Infrastructure and M/s ASTALDI has bagged contracts for package 8 (Bhakti Park to Amar Mahal Junction) and 10 (Gandhi Nagar to Sonapur) of Metro 4. While, consortium of M/s TATA Project Limited and M/s China Harbour Engineering Co. will construct package 9 (Garodia Nagar to Surya Nagar) and 11 (Mulund Fire Station to Majhewade) of Metro 4.
“By appointing contractors for the entire corridors, the committee has only underlined the need of Metro corridors for the city and its Metropolitan Region,” said U.P.S. Madan, metropolitan commissioner, MMRDA.
