Police raid dance bar in Mira Road

Mumbai: In a late night operation on Saturday, police personnel raided a dance bar in Mira Road and apprehended 23 people including four women. However, as usual the owner of the establishment who is the actual beneficiary of the vulgar trade managed to evade the police dragnet and mysteriously remained unidentified till reports last came in, thus raising a serious question mark on the credibility of the police action.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team swooped down on Hotel Madonna-a ladies bar indulged in late night raunchy shows under the guise of live orchestra performances. Around 23 people including four women, cashier, waiters and soliciting customers were rounded up and booked under sections 109, 114 and 294 of the IPC.
