MU to set up incubation centre soon
The varsity has received a whopping Rs 5 crores of grants from the Maharashtra Innovative Society for the project.
MUMBAI: The University of Mumbai (MU) plans to set up Incubation Centre soon in the Kalina campus aiming to cultivate entrepreneurship culture and promote commercialisation of technical knowledge in tune with the ‘Maharashtra State Innovative Start-Up Policy 2018’. The varsity has received a whopping Rs 5 crores of grants from the Maharashtra Innovative Society for the project.
An incubator is a company that helps new and start-up companies to develop by providing services such as management training or office space. The varsity has identified some sectors like renewable energy, ESDM and semiconductor devices, polymers and magnetic materials, biot-echnology, e-commerce and retails, artificial intelligence and information technology etc.
