Mumbai: The cyber police has arrested two persons Aachal Chaurasia and Ramesh Chaurasia on Tuesday from Delhi, who were the alleged masterminds of the online gambling racket disguised as a game in the city’s gaming centres. After the police reported the matter, the central government banned access to two gaming/gambling websites i.e. planetgindia.com and gamekingindia.com. The police said more names were likely to be revealed as and when the probe continued.

On February 27, the J.J. Marg police registered a case against an online gambling company running the portal gameki-ngindia.com, and found out that the former did not have license/permission from the government to run the gaming outlet. Thereafter, the police raided the place and arrested eight persons under the Mahar-ashtra Gambling Act and relevant sections of IPC.
