BMC to raze 6,000 structures to stop flooding

The BMC has identified 6,028 structures that are causing flooding that will be removed from October to improve the city’s drainage system.

Mumbai: In an effort to ease the flooding of the city’s low-lying areas, the Brihan-mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to remove more than 6,000 structures from such areas before next year’s monsoon.

The BMC has identified 6,028 structures that are causing flooding that  will be removed from October to improve the city’s drainage system.
