Sena likely to reward ex MNS corporator

The Sena has already nominated another ex-MNS corporator, Parmeshwar Kadam, to the all-important standing committee.

Mumbai: Former Maharastra Navnirman Sena corporator Dilip Lande, who recently defected the Sena is likely to be rewarded with the chairmanship of the BMC improvements committee, which is the second-most important dealing with land and infrastructure proposals.

Mr Lande, along with five MNS corporators, defected to the Sena four months ago.

Formerly a member of the civic standing committee, Mr Lande was shifted to the improvements committee by the Sena. And now, if sources are to be believed, he will be elevated to the post of chairman of the improvements committee as reward for shifting loyalties to the Sena.

The Sena has already nominated another ex-MNS corporator, Parmeshwar Kadam, to the all-important standing committee.
